Hi, I’m Archie.

I’m 18 years old and from the southwest of England. I’ve been passionate about astrophotography for about 2 years now, and I’m absolutely in love with it. Currently, I’m in my second year of sixth form, studying A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics (essentially maths, more maths, and applied maths!). I’m hoping to study astrophysics at university.

.

I started an astronomy club at my school where I talk about the physics of the universe and share tips on getting into astrophotography. My favourite deep sky objects are galaxies—you can probably tell from most of my photos! I also love capturing more dynamic and complex targets, like the black hole in my spectroscopy section. I’m always on the lookout for new objects or projects to work on.

.

On clear nights, you’ll usually find me in my small observatory, staying up late—sometimes until 1 or 3 a.m.—depending on how much fun I’m having (which, much to my parents’ dismay, is most of the time!).

.

In my free time you might find me working on the observatory (Me in the left picture), on my computer, building something whether that be a scuba tank made from a weed sprayer, a mini tank made of a hoverboard or a working wind turbine out of cardboard.

Anyways that just about sums me up and I hope you enjoy my website :)
